*Castle Howard - Yorkshire
Castle Howard is a stately home in Yorkshire, England, 25 miles (40 km) north of York. It is one of the grandest private residences in the country. Most was built from 1699–1712 for the 3rd Earl of Carlisle, to a design by Sir John Vanbrugh. It is not a true castle: the word is quite often used for country houses in England which were built after the end of the castle-building era (c.1500) and were not intended to have any military function.
Castle Howard has been the home of part of the Howard family for more than 300 years.

Castle Dracula Wax Museum was located center strip on Panama City Beach. It was a wax museum and magic shop. It was a remakable structure that had a prime location on the Miracle Strip. My kids loved to go by the place in the early evenings when Frankenstein was out front waving at the passing cruise traffic to make a stop. - April 1981

Castle in Jersey, UK. The last I heard there was loads of debate about opening the place up to the public (which they should - we arrived and found great big wooden doors barring our way in) but, as often seems to be the case, no-one seems to agree on the best way to do it.

The castle of Vianden, the imposing home of the counts, was not only a medieval fortress in which comfort was sacrificed to defensive demands, but also a real palace (Henri-Paul Eydoux).
In Carolingian times, the castle was originally a decagonal tower, later transformed into a chapel. This chapel, the " Little Palace" and the "Great Palace" - the most beautiful parts of the castle - were erected in the first half of the 13th century. The Juliers Quarter, on the west side of the Great Palace, dates from the beginning of the 14th century, whereas the Nassau Quarter was only built at the beginning of the 17th century.

Since the 13th century, when the Lord of Suilen and Anholt had a tower built, the castle has been subject to many changes and extensions. Halfway the 18th century the last major renovation took place. Attentive visitors will discover remainders from all centuries.

*WESTHOVE CASTLE
Westhove Castle was probably built in the beginning of the 13th century, between the villages of Domburg and Oostkapelle. It consisted of a moated castle and bailey separated by a moat. The buildings on the bailey had two entrances and two round towers. The castle itself also had two towers.

The Castle Drachenburg is a romantic work of art from the period of 1870 surrounded by the wonderful nature of the Siebengebirge, which is definitely worth seeing. The castle Schloss Drachenburg is one of the landmarks of the Siebengebirge. The Siebengebirge "seven mountains" is a German range of hills to the East of the Rhine, southeast of Bonn, consisting of more than 40 mountains and hills. It is located in Königswinter. It is of volcanic origin and came into being about 400 million years ago. Much of the territory covered by the Siebengebirge belongs to the Naturpark Siebengebirge, which is under environmental protection. In the fore-fortress the only “Museum for the History of Preservation of Nature” found a suitable place.
*Colors of the Rhön
The Rhön Mountains are a group of low mountains in central Germany, located in the states Hesse, Bavaria and Thuringia. They are the product of ancient volcanic activity and are separated from the Vogelsberg Mountains by the Fulda River and its valley.
Wasserkuppe, highest point of Rhön. These mountains are a popular tourist destination. Hikers come for the nearly 6000 km (3750 miles) of tracks through the picturesque scenery, More recently, farmstays are flourishing in the region.

The Lion's Castle Löwenburg is picturesquely situated in Park Wilhelmshöhe. It presents itself as a strong medieval fortress. Ruins of neo-Gothic Löwenburg Castle built around 1800. Löwenburg Castle has a number of medieval features such as a moat and a drawbridge. Inside, the castle is filled with genuine medieval furniture and a number of rare and unique objects: altar slabs, medieval glass windows from churches and abbeys, weapons and armour, bronze statues and much more besides.

*Prague Castle - Pražský hrad
Prague Castle (Czech: Pražský hrad) is a castle in Prague where the Czech kings, Holy Roman Emperors and presidents of Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic have had their offices. The Czech Crown Jewels are kept here. Prague Castle is one of the biggest castles in the world (according to Guinness Book of Records the biggest ancient castle [1]) at about 570 meters in length and an average of about 130 meters wide.
